⚖️ Please read these Terms carefully before using KidsTok. By using the app, a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of the child.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using KidsTok, you confirm that:
You are a parent or legal guardian creating an account for a child.
You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
You are at least 18 years of age.
If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Account & Eligibility
KidsTok is intended for children under 13, supervised by a parent or guardian.
The parent or guardian is responsible for all activity that occurs under the account.
You must provide accurate registration information.
You are responsible for keeping your passcode and login credentials secure.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Content & Conduct
Users and creators agree not to upload, share, or promote:
Content that is violent, sexual, or inappropriate for children
Hate speech, bullying, or harassment of any kind
Personal information of other users
Spam, scams, or misleading content
Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
Every upload is screened by AI safety systems before children can see it, and anything flagged is rejected automatically or held for a human reviewer. Anyone can report a video from inside the app. KidsTok moderates content and reserves the right to remove any content or account that violates these rules without notice.
4. Creator Programme
Creator status must be applied for and approved by KidsTok.
Approval requires a valid parental passcode to be set.
Approved creators may upload videos subject to the content rules in these Terms.
KidsTok may revoke creator status at any time for policy violations.
Creators retain ownership of their content but grant KidsTok a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within the app.
Promotional use. Creators also grant KidsTok the right to use their videos, or short extracts from them, together with their creator name and profile picture, to promote the KidsTok service — for example on our website, in our Google Play and app-store listings, in social media posts, and in advertising. This licence is non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free, and it exists only to promote KidsTok. We will not sell or licence creator content to any third party for their own purposes.
Attribution and opt-out. Where practical we credit the creator. A creator may ask us at any time to stop using their content promotionally by emailing kidstokappsupport@gmail.com, and we will stop all new promotional use. Material already published or distributed by third parties (for example an advert already running, or a post someone else has shared) may not be possible to withdraw.
Videos featuring children. If a video shows an identifiable child, we will not use it in advertising or promotional material unless the creator has separately confirmed that they hold the consent of that child's parent or guardian for such use. Creators are responsible for holding that consent, and must tell us if it is ever withdrawn.
Deleting a video removes it from the app and stops any further promotional use of it.
5. Premium Features (Super Parent Mode)
KidsTok offers optional premium features for parents — currently the weekly Peace-of-Mind Report, Super Parent Tips, and unlimited Travel Mode (together, "Super Parent Mode").
During our launch period these features are provided FREE of charge. No payment details are collected.
In the future, Super Parent Mode may become a paid subscription billed through Google Play. Prices will be clearly shown before any purchase, and nobody will ever be charged without explicitly subscribing through Google Play.
We may add, change, or remove premium features as the service evolves.
6. Intellectual Property
The KidsTok app, logo, and all original content created by us are our exclusive property.
User-generated content remains the property of the creator.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of KidsTok without written permission.
If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed, contact us at kidstokappsupport@gmail.com.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
KidsTok is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
Parents are responsible for supervising their child's use and for enabling appropriate parental controls within the app.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the app and delete your account.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
