๐ก๏ธ KidsTok is built for children. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and we design every part of the app to keep children safe.
1. Our Commitment
KidsTok is a short-video app made specifically for children under 13, used under parental supervision. Protecting children is our highest priority. We prohibit, and act against, any content or behaviour that endangers a child โ with a specific, zero-tolerance stance on child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
2. How We Prevent Harmful Content
No open uploads. Only creators who apply and are manually approved by our team can upload. Their display name and profile photo are also screened by AI before children ever see them.
Every video is moderated before it goes live. Each upload is scanned by multiple AI systems โ including Google Video Intelligence (explicit-content detection across the whole video) and Google Gemini (holistic review of video, audio, and context). Anything flagged is rejected automatically or held for a human safety reviewer. Nothing reaches children until it is cleared.
No private contact. KidsTok has no direct messaging, no chat, and no comments. There is no way for a stranger to contact a child through the app.
Parent-gated controls. A parental passcode protects settings, screen-time limits, and the creator application.
3. Reporting & Response
Anyone can report. Any video can be reported directly inside the app.
Immediate action on the most serious reports. Content reported for child-safety reasons is hidden from children immediately and escalated to our safety team for urgent review.
Community thresholds. Content that receives multiple reports is automatically hidden and escalated for review.
Report a child-safety concern: email kidstokappsupport@gmail.com with the subject "CHILD SAFETY REPORT". We review these as our highest priority.
4. Working With Authorities
If we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on KidsTok, we remove it, preserve the necessary evidence, and report it to the appropriate authorities โ including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant local law-enforcement bodies โ in line with applicable law. We cooperate with lawful requests from child-protection agencies.
5. Our Child Safety Point of Contact
Questions about these standards, or to reach the person responsible for child safety at KidsTok, contact:
kidstokappsupport@gmail.com
6. Compliance
These standards are maintained in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable child-protection laws, including COPPA. We review and update them as our service and the applicable requirements evolve.
